i don't close on the call

A founder asked me how I close a high-ticket deal in a 30-minute call.

I told him...

I don't.

I close it before the call even starts.

He looked at me like I was dodging the question.

I was not.

The ad pokes the pain.

The video shows the fix.

The form checks if they can pay.

The pre-call clip shows the plan.

The booking page shows real wins.

The email says hey, do not miss this.

So by the time they hop on Zoom, they have already spent about 45 minutes with me.

They know the problem.

They want the fix.

They know the price is not pocket change.

The call is not a magic show.

It is the last step.

It is where the wire gets sent.

Most founders try to turn a cold stranger into a hot buyer in 30 minutes.

That is like trying to cook a steak with a flashlight.

You can wave the light around all you want.

Nothing gets cooked.

Then they wonder why calls feel hard.

Why people ghost after this was great.

Why every close feels like a wrestling match.

It is not because your pitch is weak.

It is because the call is doing work it was never built to do.

You are asking one conversation to educate, qualify, build trust, handle price, and close.

That is five jobs.

One Zoom slot.

Of course it feels heavy.

Do the hard work before the call.

Build a system that warms people up.

Let the funnel do the teaching.

Let the form do the filtering.

Let the booking page do the proof.

Then the sales call feels less like selling...

and more like helping them say yes.

If your calls feel like a first date every time, the problem is upstream.

Not in your closing line.

Not in a new script.

In the steps that happen before anyone ever joins the Zoom.

Fix those.

The close gets easier when the call is not doing everything alone.
